Mobile Shops

One of many issues raised during the consultation process for the Village Plan was the availability of mobile shops and home delivery services. The Seavingtons’ News has accepted responsibility for maintaining a register of mobile services and making the information available.

Greengrocer

The Mobile Greengrocer who farms in nearby Stocklinch carries a large stock of local and other fruit, vegetables and flowers. He calls in Upton Lane every Wednesday around 3.00pm and elsewhere in Seavington St Mary and St Michael on Thursdays starting in David’s Lane at about 4.30pm, School Lane at 5.00pm followed by The Volunteer, Water Street etc, finishing at St Mary’s Close about 7.00pm.

Fishmonger

The Fishmonger visits both villages on Wednesdays and carries all the normal fresh fish and, if notified in advance, will bring shellfish such as lobster, mussels, prawns etc. He calls personally on his customers, so if you wish him to call please telephone him.

Milk and Dairy Produce

The Milkman calls daily except Wednesdays and Sundays and can deliver milk and dairy products and other selected comestible items.
