The Village Shop Project - Fund Raising

To obtain finance from the various bodies and organisation which support projects such as the proposed Seavington Community Shop we have had to provide a certain amount of "match funding". Sufficient funds and pledges are now in hand to permit construction to start with the shop opening in the spring of 2010. However, some services and facilities will not be affordable at this stage.

The Association will therefore still be seeking external fundingt and organising a number of new fund raising activities. We still wish to encourage residents to purchase loan bonds, repayable five years after the opening of the shop.
