The Village Shop Project - Plans
The intention is to construct a building which is sympathetic to its surroundings and to the environment. The former objective will be met by careful choice of style, building materials and craftsmanship. The latter will be met through installing a high level of thermal insulation, admitting ample external light, provision of very efficient heating, probably a ground source heat pump and a phot-voltaic roof to generate electricity.
Electrical appliances such as freezers, refrigerators etc. will be selected from those which are the most energy efficient.
